“Pestvogel” (2025) is one of the animations I created for the Dutch television quiz show 2 voor 12. It explores the intriguing backstory of the pestvogel (Bohemian waxwing) and the origins of its name.

Working with a script provided by VARA, I designed an animation inspired by 17th-century etchings and typography.

By limiting the use of color and incorporating hatching as a shading technique, I aimed to capture look of historical prints.
